Super Park

Privacy Policy

Effective October 2, 2026

Super Park keeps your data on your phone. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or trackers. The app sends Super Park only two things, and only when you choose to: an anonymous ticket report, and a report of a wrong sign.

Who we are

Super Park is operated by Harry Pomerantz (“Super Park,” “we” or “us”). This policy explains what the Super Park app for iPhone and the website at superpark.app (and drive-nyc.vercel.app) do with information about you. It’s part of our Terms of Service.

What stays on your phone

Deleting the app (or clearing this site’s data in your browser) erases all of it.

Ticket reports, when you leave

After you tap “Park Here”, you end the parking with “I moved” or “Got a ticket”. If your car stood where parking wasn’t allowed, or was still there when a rule began, “I moved” first asks “Did you get a ticket?” and how long it was there. The app may also ask whether you moved your car the next time you open it. Ending a parking sends Super Park:

Nothing that identifies you goes with it: no name, account, license plate, phone ID or location beyond the block. Each report is stored on its own, not linked to other reports, in Super Park’s database (Neon, reached through Vercel), with a daily backup copy kept with Super Park’s private code on GitHub, and is used only to check and improve the app’s map and the chances of a ticket it shows. To stop floods of made-up reports, Vercel’s firewall limits how many can come from one internet address; Super Park doesn’t store addresses. You can skip the questions every time, and you never need Park Here to use the map.

Sign reports, if you send one

When a sign on the street doesn’t match the map, “Report a wrong sign” sends Super Park:

No name, account, license plate or phone ID goes with it. A photo can show whatever was in view, such as cars and people nearby, so aim it at the sign. Reports and photos are stored in Super Park’s database (Neon, reached through Vercel), are copied (without the photos) to Super Park’s private code on GitHub, where each becomes a private to-do item with a link to its photo, and are used only to check and correct the map’s signs. The same firewall limit applies, and the database takes at most 100 a day.

What the app asks others for

To work, the app loads public information directly from these services. Like any website, they see your phone’s internet address when it connects.

Each of these has its own privacy policy. Apart from ticket and sign reports, Super Park doesn’t receive or keep any of it.

How long we keep reports

We keep ticket and sign reports, and the photos sent with sign reports, for as long as they help us check and improve the map and the chances of a ticket, and then delete them. Because reports don’t identify who sent them, we usually can’t find or delete one particular person’s report. If you sent a sign report and want it removed, email us its street, cross streets and the date, and we will look for it.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell or rent information about you, share it for advertising, build profiles of you, or use it to track you across other apps and websites. We share reports only with the service providers named above that store and back them up for us, and when the law requires it, such as to answer a valid legal request.

Your choices and rights

You never have to send a report, allow location, allow notifications or use the camera to use Super Park; each can be turned off in your phone’s settings. Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you rights to know about, get a copy of, correct or delete personal information about you, and to not be discriminated against for using those rights. To make a request, email us. Because Super Park doesn’t collect your name, account or contact details, we may be unable to connect information to you.

Security

Reports travel over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and are stored with service providers that protect them with industry-standard security. Access to them is limited to Super Park. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Contact

Questions about privacy go to support@superpark.app.

Children

Super Park is made for drivers and isn’t directed at children.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will say so first. Last updated October 2, 2026: the street cleaning calendar from NYC 311, a contact address, and how long we keep reports, what we don’t do, your rights and security. Before that, September 29, 2026: Explain a sign, which reads photos on your phone, and Add to Calendar; before that, Directions to your car; earlier the same day, sign reports and their photos; before that the same day, ticket reports, and their backup copy and firewall limit. The app’s typeface now comes with the app, so Google Fonts is no longer contacted.
